Police: Greenwich Man Connected to Teen's Overdose

GREENWICH, Conn. – A third young man was arrested in Greenwich on Wednesday in connection with the death of Christopher Harris, the Greenwich teen who overdosed on Jan. 8, 2011, in his home on Florence Road, police said.

Christopher Lundell, 20, of 5 Wellington Place, Apt. A, turned himself in on an arrest warrant charging him with possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and conspiracy to possess narcotics.

Harris graduated from Greenwich High School in 2010 and was a freshman at the University of New Haven, where he was studying music engineering. Lundell had allegedly visited Harris while he was sick at his home Jan. 7 along with two other Greenwich residents, George Ramirez and William Nelson, police said. The next day, Harris was found unresponsive in his home and pronounced dead at Stamford Hospital.

Police said Ramirez and Nelson were each charged with various drug offenses in August 2011.

Police had held a nonextraditable warrant for Lundell on drug charges related to Harris’ death, according to Lt. Kraig Gray, spokesman for the Greenwich Police Department. He added that Lundell was at college in California when his attorney made an arrangement with the state attorney’s office to turn himself in upon his return.

Lundell was released on $1,000 bond and is due in court June 13.
