Lifelong Greenwich resident Mary E. Hunwick died Jan. 24. She was 92 years old.
Hunwick graduated from Greenwich High School and worked for Electrolux Corp. during World War II. After the war, she worked for Charles Steele's Nursery, which was owned by her father. She also worked for Outdoor Traders for 26 years.
In her free time, Hunwick traveled throughout Africa, Australia, Europe and the United States. She enjoyed taking photos during her travels. She also took pride in her impressive gardens.
She is survived by four nieces, six grandnieces and two grandnephews. Interment was in Putnam Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society.
