GREENWICH, Conn. - Mark Thayer Sanford, a Greenwich resident, died Saturday after a long illness. He was 55.
Sanford was a graduate of Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y., and worked in advertising and sales management for several newspapers, magazines and retail organizations.
Prior to his death, Sanford was studying in the Diaconite Formation Program with the Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport.
Sanford is survived by his wife, Roseanne; daughters, Giulia and Amelia; son, Mark; and sister, Nancy.
Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Entombment will follow at Putnam Cemetery, 35 Parsonage Road, Greenwich.
