Man With Flat Tire Charged With Drunken Driving

A man from Bedford, N.Y., was arrested in Greenwich on Monday when police saw him with a flat tire on Post Road and found beer bottles in his car. Carlos Hermin Martinez Lazaro, 31, of 24 Banksville Road, had glassy, bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol, said police.

In the car, officers found two half-empty Heineken beers, three empty Heineken bottles on the floor and one unopened Heineken bottle. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and driving without a license. He posted $250 bond and is due in court May 2.

Also from the Greenwich Police Department:

• Elmer Diaz, 25, of 6 Seitz Lane, Cos Cob, was arrested by warrant on a charge of failure to appear in court stemming from a December incident in which he was charged with driving under the influence, driving without a license and running a red light. He was released on $500 bond and is due in court Wednesday.

• James Anthony, 24, of 2 Perryridge Road, Greenwich, was arrested by warrant on a charge of failure to appear in court stemming from a January incident in which he was charged with violation of a protective order and disorderly conduct. He was released on $5,000 bond and is due in court Wednesday.
