GREENWICH, Conn. A New Jersey man was arrested by Greenwich police Thursday in connection with an incident in which a fake painkiller prescription was passed at the CVS in Riverside.
The Glastonbury and Greenwich police departments identified Sean Anthony Mack, 34, of 85 Sherman Place, Irivington, as a suspect in a series of prescription drug frauds. He had successfully passed numerous prescriptions in multiple states along the East Coast, said Lt. Kraig Gray, spokesman for the Greenwich Police Department.
Investigation revealed Mack allegedly passed a fake prescription Sept. 18 at the CVS in the Riverside neighborhood. Police obtained a warrant and arrested Mack at Stamford Superior Court on Thursday. He was charged with obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, illegal possession of narcotics and forgery.
He was being held on $220,000 bond at Hartford Correctional Facility by both jurisdictions.
Gray said co-conspirators were arrested in Glastonbury, but no other warrants are out in connection to the incident in Greenwich.
