A man was arrested in Greenwich on Thursday on fraud charges after attempting to deposit a fraudulent check at the Citibank on Railroad Avenue. Phillip William Reid, 20, of 180 W. 152 St., New York, N.Y., told police he was depositing the check for a friend after a bank employee told police he was attempting to deposit a fraudulent check to an account that was not his.
Officers were unable to make contact with Reid's friend and arrested him on charges of third-degree criminal attempt at larceny and one count of third-degree forgery. He was held on $20,000 bond and was due in court this week.

Clinton Miller, 22, of 78 Mayo Ave., Greenwich, turned himself in to police Thursday on a warrant stemming from charges of six counts of second-degree harassment. The victim told police she had met Miller briefly in high school, but they had never had a dating relationship and were never friends. After years without contact, Miller sent annoying text messages, which continued for a few weeks, police said.
The victim reportedly asked Miller to stop sending messages, but he continued to send messages. The victim reported Miller to authorities, and police contacted Miller to advise him to cease all contact, to which he complied. Days after contact with police, Miller continued to contact the victim, and a warrant was drawn up. He was released on $250 bond and was due in court Dec. 31.
Andrew Hannafin Brisson, 23, of 8 Carissa Lane, Greenwich, was arrested Friday on charges of possession of marijuana under four ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police stopped his car because he was allegedly talking on his cell phone while driving on Arch Street. Officers reported smelling marijuana in his car. After searching his vehicle, police found a glass smoking pipe, a tin container with a solid brown substance inside, and five zip-lock sandwich bags containing marijuana. He was arrested then released on $250 bond. Brisson is due in court Jan. 3.
