An acquaintance of a Greenwich woman was arrested Wednesday night after he confessed to breaking into her home in Quarry Knoll and stealing valuables.
Esdras Flores, 40 of 604 N. Main St. in Port Chester, knew the woman through an organization. Flores was charged with breaking into her home Sunday night as the victim slept. He was armed and threatened her with violence as he stole cash, jewelry and credit cards.
The woman provided evidence that the intruder was Flores. He was brought into police headquarters after attempting to use one of her credit cards in Port Chester.
Flores faces two felony counts -- first-degree robbery and home invasion and two misdemeanor charges third-degree larceny and theft of a credit card. He was being held on $500,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
Some of the stolen items were returned to the woman following Flores' arrest.
