A 37-year-old Greenwich man was arrested Sunday and charged with holding up the Greenwich Avenue Subway on Friday.
The suspect, Brian Steed, of 12 West Putnam Ave., allegedly robbed the Subway using a handgun and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
During the investigation into an armed robbery at the CVS on Greenwich Avenue, police found the suspect, Dominick Glowacki, of Port Chester, had been staying in Greenwich with Steed that weeekend. Police were able to link the two through further investigation and an eyewitness identified Steed as the man who robbed the Subway. Detectives obtained a warrant and arrested Steed Sunday night on a charge of robbery in the first degree. Steed was held on $100,000 bond and was due to appear in court Monday for arraignment.
Detectives learned that Steed and the suspect in the CVS armed robbery, Dominick Glowacki, knew each other. Officers said the two acted on their own during the robberies.
