Longtime Greenwich resident Lorraine Bella died of cancer on Dec. 17. She was 79 years old.
Bella was born in Mount Carmel, Pa., about an hour northeast of Harrisburg. She received a nursing degree from the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa. Bella worked at Greenwich Hospital and at Nathaniel Witherell Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
She is survived by her husband, John; three daughters, Kathryn Bella-Korman, Diane Bella, and Mary Bella-Glasscock, and five grandchildren. Memorial donations can be made to Meals on Wheels or Visiting Nurse & Hospice Care of Southwestern Connecticut.
