The town of Greenwich Department of Public Works announced that the bridge, which runs along John Street and Riversville and Round Hill roads, should open at the end of the day Friday. A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, according to a news release from the town.
Although the road will be open, work will continue on the bridge, according to the release. Public Works officials are asking residents to proceed with caution on the bridge.
The bridge project was designed by Fuss and O'Neill Inc. of Manchester; the construction work was performed by A. Vitti Excavators LLC of Stamford, according to the release. The construction contract for the project was for $709,216.50, according to the release.
