Jack McMurrary, a Greenwich resident, died of lung cancer Nov. 5. He was 58.
McMurrary was a lifelong smoker who decided to quit four years ago. He was known for his keen sense of humor and the way he helped others. McMurrary died 19 years sober through A.A.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie and their children Danielle, Amaya and Ja'den; sons, John and Shane, and their mother Wendy; brothers, Mickey, Jimmy, Tommy, Kevin and Richie; sister, Susie; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 20 at St. Mary's Church, 178 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich.
