Police officers traveled to Las Vegas over the weekend to take in a Norwalk man who fled after defrauding an 88-year-old Greenwich businessman. Eric J. Christian, 26 of 15 Geneva Rd. left Connecticut after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He is being charged with first degree Identity Theft, second degree Larceny, Credit Card Theft, Illegal Use of Credit Card, Receiving Goods Illegally and Criminal Impersonation. According to Lt. Kraig Gray, communications officer for the Greenwich Police Department, Christian had two prior convictions of a similar identity theft nature in 2008 and 2009. After being released from prison he went to work for the elderly man and accessed both individual and business accounts. Christian waived extradition to Connecticut and is currently being held on a $500,000 bond. He is expected to appear in court on August 3.
