Homeless Man From NYC Arrested in Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. – A homeless man from Manhattan was arrested Thursday on a warrant from Bridgeport by Greenwich police officers investigating a report that the man was panhandling at Greenwich Plaza.

When doing a check on Edwin Osorio, 47, officers found that he had an active warrant from the Bridgeport Police Department charging him with failure to appear in court. He was held on $50,000 bond and is due in court June 1.

• A 39-year-old Greenwich woman was arrested Tuesday in Greenwich after a 911 hangup call in which the reporting party said his sister was assaulting another family member. Police said the woman had allegedly shoved another family member. While officers were separating the individuals, the woman attempted to push past an officer toward another family member, according to the police report. The woman was charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer. She was being held on $10,000 bond and was due in court Wednesday.
