Gunman Robs Greenwich Radio Shack

Police were pulled away from Sunday’s St. Patrick's Day Parade by reports of an armed robbery at the Radio Shack in the Riverside Common shopping area on E. Putnam Avenue.

A lone black male wearing a face mask went into the store just after 3 p.m. and showed a handgun, the police reported. The suspect demanded money and ordered employees into a backroom. No one was injured, and the suspect fled with a small amount of cash.

The suspect was described as being average weight and height and wearing a gray sweatshirt with a white T-shirt underneath and blue jeans. He got into a green Audi A6 with Delaware plates. Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to call the Department's tip line at (203) 622-3333.
