Lifelong Greenwich resident Angela Zumbo died Dec. 20 at Nathaniel Witherell Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Greenwich. She was 93.
Zumbo was born November 17, 1917, to Antonio and Giovanna Sarica. She enjoyed playing sports and was an accomplished swimmer. Zumbo was also a dedicated parishioner at St. Roch's Church and sang in the church's choir for many years.
She is survived by her brother, Dominick Sarica and wife Angelina; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to her parents, Zumbo was predeceased by her husband, Leo Zumbo; brothers, Anthony and Joseph; sister, Josephine Salerno.
She was buried at St. Mary's Cemetery on Dec. 27. Memorial donations can be made to St. Roch's Church, 10 Saint Roch Ave., Greenwich, CT 06830-6298.
