GREENWICH, Conn. -- Gov. Dannel Malloy has decided to discard plans to cut aid to municipalities, according to the blog Capitol Watch. Under his proposal, Greenwich stood to lose upwards of $225,478 in funding. Instead, the governor is expected to layoff an additional 1,000 state employees, which would bring the total number of layoffs to 6,500 by Sept. 1.
What do you think of the additional layoffs? Is it a better idea than making cuts to towns statewide?
