GREENWICH, Conn. – A Greenwich woman was arrested Thursday driving a car that had been reported stolen from Scarsdale, N.Y., police said.

Sonya Brinkley, 37, of 8 Dearfield Drive, was seen driving through a red light and driving westbound on Soundview Avenue in a lane designated for eastbound-only traffic, police said. When she was stopped, police found that the vehicle was stolen. Police also found an Advil bottle in the car’s glove box that contained one Endocet pill and nine Xanex pills in a sandwich baggie. In Brinkley’s purse, police reported finding 96 pills of the prescription dietary pill Lasix. They also found that her New Jersey operator’s license had expired as of Jan. 31.

Brinkley was charged with possession of a controlled substance, illegal possession, failure to keep drugs in the original container, larceny, operation without a license, failure to obey a control signal and failure to drive in proper lane.

She was being held on a $1,000 bond and is due in court April 3.
