Greenwich Woman Charged With Prescription Forgery

GREENWICH, Conn. – A Greenwich woman was arrested on a warrant last week for allegedly altering prescriptions to get narcotic pain relievers, police said.

During the course of six months, Cecily Katz, 23, 49 Bible St., altered four separate prescriptions, according to police. She was arrested March 14 on charges of forged prescription, altering a prescription, four counts of forgery and four counts of possession of narcotics.

She was released on a promise to appear in court March 22.

Silvano Romolo Direnzo, 32, of 201 Woodland Ave., Yonkers, N.Y., was arrested Monday on a warrant for a larceny charge stemming from an investigation into an internal theft reported by a local business. He was released on a promise to appear in court Monday.
