Greenwich Teens Arrested With Marijuana

Two Greenwich teens were arrested on Hillside Road on Thursday on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The teens were driving south on Stanwich Road when police saw the car swerving across the yellow line as the driver and passenger were seen passing back and forth what appeared to be a cigarette. The cigarette was thrown out the window and found by investigators, who recognized it to be a burnt marijuana cigarette.

When the car was stopped, the driver with rolling papers, and the passenger had 1.2 grams of marijuana. Both youths were issued misdemeanor summons and were released on a promise to appear in court Dec. 15.

• Renzo Pardo, 21, of 101 Brookside Drive, Greenwich, was arrested Friday on possession of marijuana charges. Pardo's car had been stopped on West Putnam Avenue with expired registration plates. During the stop, officers smelled marijuana from within the car. When questioned Pardo admitted to be in possession of a small amount of the substance. He was issued a misdemeanor summons on charges of possession of marijuana less than 4 ounces, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. He was released on a promise to appear in court Dec. 13.

• Tyler Bongiornia, 18, of 9 Arther St., Greenwich, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of marijuana under 4 ounces. He was the passenger of a car that had been stopped for a motor vehicle violation. During the stop, he was found to have a small amount of suspected marijuana. He was issued a misdemeanor summons and released on a promise to appear in court Dec. 8.
