Greenwich Teen Charged in Attack on Fellow Student

GREENWICH, Conn. – A 16-year-old Greenwich boy was charged with assault for allegedly injuring another teen after leaving their school bus, police said.

The injured teen contacted Greenwich Police and was treated at the scene by Greenwich Emergency Medical Services. The 16-year-old was arrested and taken to the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center by members of the police department. The incident occurred April 28. 

Also from the Greenwich Police Department:

• A Stamford man was charged Saturday with driving an unregistered motor vehicle and driving without plates or a license. Hector Bustos, 43, of 51 Williams St., was driving east on East Putnam Avenue in a black Honda without a rear license plate, police said.

Bustos could not produce a driver’s license or any form of identification. The license plates, which were in the windshield and rear window, did not belong to the vehicle, according to the police report. During his booking, police found that the Stamford Police Department had an active arrest warrant for Bustos.

He was released by Greenwich Police on a promise to appear in court May 21. Officers from Stamford took custody of Bustos.
