Greenwich Road To Be Closed Four Months For Bridge Construction Project

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Construction will begin on the Brookridge Drive Bridge superstructure replacement project on Monday, July 11.

The bridge is located on Brookridge Drive between Fairfield Road and Route 1.

As part of the construction work, the road is scheduled to be closed at the bridge site from July 11 through November.

The project, designed by Alfred Benesch & Company of Glastonbury, is scheduled to be completed by December.

Construction will be performed by A. Vitti Excavators of Stamford.

The construction contract for the project is for $256,306.

While work is being completed, a detour will be established: motorists wanting to travel southbound on Brookridge Drive shall utilize Fairfield Road to Stanwich Road to Route 1; motorists wanting to travel northbound on Brookridge Drive shall utilize Route 1 to Stanwich Road to Fairfield Road.
