Greenwich Man Charged With Leaving Crash Scene

GREENWICH, Conn. – A Greenwich man was arrested after he left the scene of an accident in which his vehicle struck two parked cars, police said.

Kevin Maguire, 50, of 86 Lower Cross Road was driving south on Pemberwick Road when he hit the cars, police said. A witness wrote down Maguire’s plate numbers and he was contacted to return to the scene. He admitted driving in the area of the accident, but told police he was not aware he had hit other vehicles. Maguire was arrested for evading responsibility and improper passing. He posted a $2,500 bond and is due in court Sept. 28.

During the investigation, police found that Maguire was wanted on an arrest warrant for a traffic incident in Norwalk. He was also arrested for failure to appear in court and failure to respond to a summons. He is due in court on Sept. 21.

• Julie Blois, 36, of 17 Tomney Road in Greenwich was arrested for DWI and failure to carry an operator’s license when she was found her asleep in her car in the middle of Stanwich Road, police said. Blois failed field sobriety tests. She posted a $245 bond and is due in court on Oct. 3.

• James Finn, 49, of 17 Tremont St. in Cos Cob was arrested for DWI after a one-car accident on Sinawoy and Post roads. Finn said he was coming from a Fairfield bar, where he had had several glasses of wine, and couldn’t explain why he was involved in the accident. He refused field sobriety tests and refused to provide urine samples to test his blood alcohol level. He was released on a $250 bond and is due in court on Sept. 30.
