Greenwich Heat Wave To Break This Weekend

GREENWICH, Conn. – Although a heat advisory and air quality alert have been issued for Thursday, the scorching weather is expected to break somewhat Friday and even out into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Thursday evening expect party cloudy skies and a low around 72 degrees, though increasing humidity overnight will make it feel hotter. Friday temperatures are expected to reach 92 degrees, with a 50 percent chance of showers and possibly strong thunderstorms sweeping the area through the afternoon and evening. That chance of showers is expected to increase to 60 percent overnight, with a low around 67 degrees.

Saturday expect a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before noon, otherwise mostly sunny with a more seasonable high near 86 degrees. Saturday night should be partly cloudy with a low around 64 degrees.

Sunny skies and a high of 84 degrees are in store for Sunday in Greenwich leading into a chance of showers in the evening and a low around 65 degrees.

Another chance of showers is possible Monday with a high temperature of 76 degrees.
