Greenwich Chamber To Host Business & Culinary Show

GREENWICH, Conn. – Top restaurants and caterers along with local businesses will highlight the 2012 Greenwich Chamber of Commerce Business & Culinary Showcase on Thursday.

The evening of networking will take place at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich, located at 1800 E. Putnam Ave. from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. With 75 exhibitors, the event will feature the newest products and services, dance demos, unique shopping opportunities and door prizes. Admission is $10 per person and includes food, drinks and parking.   

“This event offers a great opportunity to make valuable connections and develop new business relationships,” Marcia O’Kane, executive director of the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce, said in a statement. “The showcase also provides a chance for businesses to promote and sell their products and services in an interesting and engaging format.”

Attractions include dancing by Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom of Greenwich; water sampling and testing by Enviro Water, a healthy bottleless water cooler supplier; Zen Bronze, a new healthy organic spray tanning service; Toyota of Greenwich, which will feature its part electric and part hybrid Prius Plugin; and African Portfolio, safari specialists who will offer samples of amarula, a liqueur made from the fruit of the African marula tree.

Attendees can also learn about energy savings programs and incentives from the Connecticut Energy Efficient Fund. Many more exhibits will be on tap, including some in finance, jewelry, beauty, health, fashions by Doncaster, furniture, spa and more.

Samples of culinary delicacies will be offered, including salmon and dill rillettes on toast from l’escale restaurant, sheep’s milk ricotta crostinis with truffle honey from Arrosto Restaurant, frozen treats from Pinkberry, pizza from Pizza Post, Chinese specialties from China White, and Mexican favorites from Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar. ShopRite Grade A Supermarkets and Cosi will provide a variety of offerings. Val’s Putnam Wines & Liquors will offer organic wines from across the globe as well as low calorie margaritas, and Horseneck Wines and Liquors will provide its seasonal favorites.
