Mexican national Miguel Reyes-Pantoja, 27, of Port Chester, who pleaded guilty, will likely be deported, said the Stamford Advocate.

The driver called for help on his CB radio after receiving a 7-inch gash after being slashed with a box cutter by Reyes-Pantoja. Cabbies, concerned about two cabbie murders last year, from around the area came racing to his aid and protected him until police arrived, said the newspaper.
