Gary Morrisroe, Greenwich Lawyer

Greenwich resident Gary P. Morrisroe died of cancer Dec. 22 at the age of 53.

Morrisroe was born April 30, 1957, in New York and graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science and economics from the SUNY-Albany in 1979 received his law degree from the Fordham University School of Law in 1982. He worked at Chadbourne & Parke LLP, a law firm specializing in corporate, commercial, financial and tax law. Morrisroe was head of Chadbourne's products liability practice and a member of its management committee. His profession kept him traveling frequently from New York to London.

During his free time, Morrisroe loved to ski, golf, run and watch football. He was known for his sense of humor, wit and passion for literature.

He is survived by wife, Susan; children, Lauren, Daniel and Thomas; parents, Eugene and Joan Morrisroe; brother, Eugene Morrisroe and wife Kathleen; sister, Mary Morrisroe and husband Joseph DiPalermo; and many other family members.

Family and friends may visit the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch St., Greenwich, from 3 to 8 p.m. Jan. 2. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's the Archangel Church, 469 North St., Greenwich, at 10 a.m. Jan. 3. Memorial donations can be made to the Sarcoma Foundation of America.
