GREENWICH, Conn. Iconic furniture maker Thos. Moser has opened a new location in downtown Greenwich and has scheduled a grand opening celebration for April 20 to 22.
Tom Moser, master craftsman and store founder, says the company has been looking for a location in the Fairfield County area for some time. When this location in the heart of Greenwich opened up, we knew it would be a perfect fit for our newest showroom, Moser said in a statement. We have an extremely broad and loyal customer base in Fairfield County and are pleased that we can work even more closely with them now."
The new location at 55 E. Putnam Ave. has more than 2,100 square feet of retail space to showcase Mosers handcrafted designs. It will also feature artwork and home accessories by local artists and artisans.
We want to inspire, Moser said. We want our showrooms to not only display our heirloom pieces, but also works from artists and craftsmen who have complementary styles.
Since getting its start in New Gloucester, Maine, in 1972, Thos. Moser has earned an international reputation for its award?winning designs and has become recognized as one of the worlds foremost designers and builders of solid wood furniture. The company has grown from a one?man operation to more than 65 furniture makers at its shop in Auburn, Maine.
New showroom manager Patricia Jaumin has an extensive background in the retail field. Her skills include interior design services, staffing, events and sales. She holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Maryland.
