Longtime Greenwich resident and homemaker Frances A. Pennella died Oct. 12 at her home. She was 98.
Pennella was born in town April 2, 1912. She enjoyed tending to her children and grandchildren. Pennella was a member of the AARP chapter 3020 in Greenwich for more than 30 years.
She is survived by her children, Minni Tigano, Gelonardo, John, Francis and Elizabeth DiFabio; and 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Friends and family may visit the Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich, from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. A Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 95 Henry St., Greenwich, at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in Pennella's name to the Greenwich Adult Day Care, 125 River Road Ext., Cos Cob, CT 06807.
