Eversource Takes To The Sky To Check For Storm Damage In Greenwich

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — After last week’s blizzard, Eversource is surveying high-voltage power lines around the state with helicopters, checking for any storm damage that may threaten electric reliability. 

Eversource will be using two helicopters: Blue and white with tail number N411DD and blue and silver with tail number N1431W

The flights will continue from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Helicopters will survey these towns: Bethel, Bridgeport, Brookfield, Danbury, Darien, Fairfield, Greenwich, Newtown, Norwalk, Redding, Ridgefield, Stamford Weston, and Wilton as well as other areas out state.

Eversource uses two helicopters: A blue and white helicopter with tail number N411DD and a blue and silver helicopter with tail number N1431W. 

Crews will check the high-voltage lines as well as for tree limbs or branches that could damage lines.
