Employee Charged in Gas Station Assault

An employee at a West Putnam Avenue Mobil gas station was arrested on charges of assaulting his supervisor Sunday, police said. Jean Fleurant, 34, of 44 Rodwell Ave., confronted his supervisor, who had investigated whether his employees were complying with state tobacco regulations. The supervisor found Fleurant was in violation of the regulations and wrote him up. As videotape showed, Fleurant refused to leave, pushed his supervisor, then punched him in the face. He was arrested on charges of third-degree assault and disorderly conduct. Fleurant was released $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 18.

• Vadim Kargin, 24, of 410 Hollow Tree Ridge Road, Darien, was arrested Monday on charges of violating probation stemming from his conviction for auto theft. After hearing of the warrant, Kargin turned himself in to the Greenwich Police Department. Kargin was released on a $500 bond and will appear in court Oct. 12.

• Anthony Palmisano, 31, of 21 Gerry St., was arrested Sunday stemming from a domestic violence incident. He was charged with disorderly conduct, falsely reporting an incident and interfering with an officer. Palmisano was released on $250 bond.
