Elizabeth A. Taracka, an avid traveler and former employee at the Caldor store in Riverside, died at her Byram home Oct. 20. She was 92.
After retiring, Taracka she enjoyed traveling with the Glenville Seniors. Some of her trips included the Panama Canal and the Caribbean. Taracka also went to Greenwich Adult Day Care. She was nicknamed "Whiz" because of her love of reading and knowledge. Taracka also enjoyed spending time outdoors with her family.
Taracka is survived by her daughters, Nancy Taracka, Janet Senfit and Andrea Dean. A funeral was held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Byram on Oct. 25. She was buried in the Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye, N.Y.
