DWI Driver Sideswipes Cop Car

A Stamford man was arrested in Greenwich on DWI charges Saturday after his car struck a stopped police car. Police said Alvardo R. Espinoza, 30, of 16 Lindstrom Road was driving on Delavan Ave. over the speed limit. He then sideswiped a Greenwich police car and continued on until police stopped him on the I-95 Exit 2 ramp. Espinoza failed field sobriety tests and was arrested on charges of traveling fast, unsafe movement, evading responsibility and DWI. He was held on a $1,000 bond and is due in court on Dec. 12.

Emily Sikes, 22, of 31 Le Grande Ave. in Greenwich was arrested Sunday on a warrant charging her with  possession of drug paraphernalia, DWI, evading responsibility, interfering with an officer, unsafe movement and failure to carry a license. The charges stemmed from an Aug. 29 car accident. She was released on a $1,000 bond and is due in court on Dec. 6.
