Dennis Harrigan, Served as a Judge

Dennis F. Harrigan of Greenwich, a judge trial referee and retired Superior Court judge, died Nov. 6. He was 80.

Harrigan received his bachelor's degree in 1951 and his law degree in 1955 from the Fordham University School of Law and was admitted to the Connecticut Bar. He worked in a private practice and as city attorney for Milford and then moved on to become judge of the Milford Town Court.

Harrigan later served as a Superior Court judge in Stamford and Waterbury. For the past 17 years, he dealt with family matters in the Stamford Judicial District.

He is survived by his wife Victoria Goss; children Dennis F. Harrigan III, Thomas Harrigan and wife Stephanie, Daniel Harrigan and wife Alessandra, and Mary Goss Harrigan; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Round Hill Community Church, 395 Round Hill Road, Greenwich, followed by a reception at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes, 1275 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains, NY 10605 , or to a charity of the donor's choice.
