Denise Begole, Worked for Amex

Denise M. Begole of Old Greenwich, a former travel coordinator for the American Express Company, died on Nov. 3. She was 87 years old.

Begole was born in Paris in 1923. After she finished her degree, she worked for the American Express Company in its Paris office. She married her husband, Fred, in 1950 and traveled with him on American Express assignments to Japan, New York and Frankfurt. During her time at home, Begole loved to look after her garden, read and spend time talking with friends.

She is survived by her son, Eric, daughter, Christine Begole, and two granddaughters. Funeral services were private.  A memorial service will be scheduled at the family's earliest convenience. Donation can be made to the Center for Hyperbaric Medicine and Wound Healing at Greenwich Hospital or the Joslin Diabetic Center.
