Cosi Manager Robbed At Gunpoint

Two men robbed the manager of a Cosi restaurant in Greenwich at gunpoint Sunday night.

"I can only say it's unfortunate what happened," said Joe Gardiner, general manager at the Cosi who said he could not comment further. Gardiner was not at the restaurant during the robbery.

At 10 p.m. Sunday, two armed men entered Cosi at 129 W. Putnam Ave. and robbed the manager at gunpoint. Police say cash was taken, but no one was injured.

Police said the two suspects fled. One suspect was described as a black male, 5-foot-8 to 6-feet tall, with a muscular build. The other was described as a black male, 6-feet to 6-foot-2 tall. Both men are believed to be in their mid- to late 20s and were wearing dark clothing.

"The investigation is ongoing, and no other information is being released at this time," said Lt. Kraig Gray, spokesman for the department.
