Call From Concerned Motorist Leads to DWI Bust

A motorist was arrested in Greenwich Thursday on DWI charges after another driver traveling behind him called police. Police found the motorist, Zbigniew Karolewski, 56, of 125 Terrace Avenue in Port Chester, driving on East  Putnam Avenue, where he allegedly crossed the double-yellow line while turning onto River Road. He was stopped  and failed field sobriety tests. Karolewski posted a $250 bond and was due in court on Thursday, Jan. 20.

A man from Port Chester was arrested on a failure to appear warrant on charges stemming from a hit-and-run incident in September. Alan Casarrubias, 22, of 45 King St. in Port Chester, was arrested on the charge of failure to appear in the second-degree Monday. He was released on a $1,000 bond and is due to appear in court Jan. 24.
