GREENWICH, Conn. -- Two suspects were arrested Monday after would-be thieves smashed open the rear door of a home on Halsey Drive in Greenwich and woke a 16-year-old boy asleep in the house.
The teen told police he heard a loud noise coming from the first floor and that when he went to investigate he encountered two teenagers, who immediately fled. He called 911 with a description of the suspects.
Officers responded to the area and found several youths matching the suspects description on Havemeyer Lane near the Stamford town line. The suspects fled and police pursued them on foot. No one was injured during the incident. One adult and one juvenile were taken into custody by Greenwich police, who said more arrests will follow.
