At the CVS Pharmacy on Sound Beach Avenue on Wednesday, a woman allegedly stole baby wipes and shampoo while she was with a small child.
Catherine Bausch, 29, of 1 Hill St., Norwalk, left the pharmacy in a blue Kia minivan after allegedly taking the items.
Officers stopped her car at Hendrie Avenue and Arch Street. As she looked for her papers, and without officers asking, she said, "I was actually just turning around to go back to CVS and return those items." She then handed three bottles of shampoo and a package of baby wipes to the officers.
Bausch was arrested on charges of sixth-degree larceny, shoplifting, and risk of injury to a minor. Bausch has a criminal history of multiple arrests on larceny and drug charges. She posted $250 bond and is due in court Sept. 8.
