3 Greenwich Officers Honored for Burglary Arrests

Three Greenwich police officers were named Officer of the Month for January for their work in arresting two suspects in 11 homes burglaries in Greenwich.

"They spent long hours of meticulous analysis of the known facts of the case, they tenaciously followed each clue to its logical conclusion," said Lt. Kraig Gray, spokesman for the department. "They cooperated with other law enforcement agencies, and in the end, were the principal agents that brought to justice two career criminals who would have surely continued to victimize our citizens."

Detectives Robert McKiernan, Charles Brown and Timothy Biggs investigated the burglaries for 12 months in their quest to identify the suspects. After their arrest, the pair were linked to an estimated 100 burglaries in at least 12 other towns.
