2 Arrested at Housing Complex Commotion

Two men were arrested Monday night at the Armstrong Court housing complex after a loud group was reported causing a disturbance. Steven Rodas, 20, of 241 S. Regent St., Port Chester, N.Y., was arrested on trespassing charges after officers recognized him as someone prohibited from entering any Town of Greenwich Housing Authority property. He was released on a $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 20.

Timothy John Verdon, 22, a resident of 9 Armstrong Court, Greenwich, was arrested as the ringleader of a group that converged around the police officer and Rodas, yelling obscenities. They were warned to leave the area and stop their behavior before Verdon was arrested on charges of breach of peace and interfering with an officer. Verdon was held on a $500 bond and was to appear in court Oct. 20.

Also from the police blotter:

• Charlee Javier Lora-Rodriguez, 18, of 5 Wilbur Peck Court, was arrested Monday after a car was reported taken without the owner's permission. Lora-Rodriguez was contacted by police and returned to the home at Wilbur Peck Court. He was also found to have been operating the car without a valid license and was arrested on charges of using a motor vehicle without permission and operating a motor vehicle without a license. Lora-Rodriguez posted $200 bond and was released to appear in court Oct. 18.
