Wine And Food Festival Returns To Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. – The Greenwich Wine and Food Festival presented by Serendipity magazine will be held from Thursday, Sept. 25, to Saturday, Sept. 27, at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park.

The festival will benefit Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.

The first Raw Bar wine tasting event will kick off the festival on Thursday at the L’escale Restaurant in Greenwich.

On Friday, the 2014 Most Innovative Chefs Gala will feature Innovative Chef winners from restaurants across Fairfield and Westchester Counties constructing a diverse menu. The evening also will include elite wines, premium liquor, an exclusive auction and a performance by Marshall Tucker Band.

On Saturday, tastings and demonstrations from more than 100 food, wine, spirits and product vendors will be available. Celebrity chefs also will be leading book signings.

“We’re so excited to be back for our fourth year, honoring and celebrating the area’s culinary community, while raising money for an amazing local charity,” said Suni Unger, founder and chief executive officer of Unger Publishing, the publisher of Serendipity magazine, in a press release. “As the festival continues to grow, we have a number of new events and new faces that will be debuting this year, mixed in with many new and returning food and wine vendors. I guarantee that everyone that attends will learn a new thing or two about food and wine, and try something new they’ve never had before.”
