Five of Greenwichs most impeccably designed homes will be featured in the popular Antiquarius Holiday House Tour. Hosted by the Greenwich Historical Society, the tour takes place on Dec. 8 and will be accompanied by a holiday boutique Dec. 7 and 8.
Chairwomen Roxanne Vanderbilt and Suzanne Branch Martin have assembled a collection of homes that are truly a tour de force of design style. While specifics are not being given away, the Historical Society says the event will include the ultra-elegant home of a sought-after interior designer; a sophisticated back country antique contemporized for a discerning bachelor; a Victorian restoration complete with period details and modern amenities; a mid-country, Hamptons shingle-style family home; and a gentlemans casually elegant, European-style stone residence.
The Antiquarius Holiday Boutique will showcase 30 vendors offering fine jewelry and antiques as well as handcrafted items. This free event will be held at 19 Doubling Road. Opening night includes hors doeuvres and a cash bar from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The event will carry over to the next day from 9 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
House tour tickets are $100 per person with an optional Country Club lunch available for $45 per person. Advance reservations are required. Call (203) 869-6899. Tickets providing parking locations and home descriptions will be mailed prior to the tour.
