The event will offer special evening access to the museum’s newest exhibition, "The Seven Deadly Sins: Pride," as well as a variety of activities to celebrate the show, including a grown-up scavenger hunt and a special curator’s tour that includes an opportunity to hear from some of the artists featured in the exhibition, according to a press release.
“This exhibition is designed to explore Pride, one of the The Seven Deadly Sins, but it is also our hope that it will inspire a lively discussion,” said Tara Contractor, the museum’s Samuel H. Kress Fellow and the organizer of the event, in a press release. “We felt that a fun evening event was in order.”
In addition to the scavenger hunt, curator’s tour and artist talks, the event will offer workshops, games, wine and music celebrating the exhibition, according to a press release. Visitors will have the chance to win door prizes, and make a peacock-feather fascinator.
Admission to the event is $15 for museum members and $20 for non-members. Admission price includes two glasses of wine. Advance reservations are recommended, simply go to superbia.eventbrite.com
"The Seven Deadly Sins: Pride" is on view through Oct. 18, and represents the first ever collaboration among Fairfield Westchester Museum Alliance arts institutions. Other area exhibitions in The Seven Deadly Sins FWMA collaboration include:
