Splash Around at the Greenwich Audubon

Before another year of school begins, you may want to relish the last few summer days by venturing to Indian Spring Pond at the Greenwich Audubon. It's a rare opportunity because the pond is usually closed to the public.

The Audubon is opening up their pond for families and children of all ages to explore the wildlife in and around the pond. "It's a great time for families to get out with younger children," said Jeff Cordulack, event and communications manager. "The pond is full of life at this time of year. Families will get a chance to see tadpoles from various frog species, dragonflies and salamanders."

Don't forget to pack your Wellies and sunscreen for this 90-minute pond exploration that will take place at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 22. To register, call the Audubon at (203) 869-5272.
