In the spirit of Veterans Day and the approaching holidays, the American Red Cross and My Favorite Place in Greenwich are working together to deliver holiday cards to troops serving overseas. The "Holiday Cards for Heroes" program allows residents to create cheerful greeting cards and notes to the men and women in the U.S. military.
A small effort such as sending a card can make a big difference to those far away from their families during the holidays. The card making begins at Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at My Favorite Place on Greenwich Avenue.
