Santa and His Reindeer Are Comin' to Town

GREENWICH, Conn. – Catch a scene right out of "The Night Before Christmas" on Friday afternoon when Santa and four of his reindeer ? Prancer, Comet, Donner and Blitzen ? parade down Greenwich Avenue.

They will stay in Greenwich through Christmas Eve for the Third Annual Greenwich Reindeer Festival and Santa’s Workshop.

The parade starts at First Presbyterian Church with Santa and his antlered friends,  accompanied by police officers, firefighters and public officals, moving in procession to McArdle’s Florist & Garden Center, at 48 Arch St., where the reindeer will reside for one month.

“This event really brings the holiday magic to life and we are thrilled to be the host again this year,” said James McArdle Jr. of McArdle’s Florist & Garden Center, which will provide a setting of seasonal decor for the reindeer and Santa’s Workshop.

Join the reindeer at 2:30 p.m. for a “We’re Back Party” with holiday refreshments and the opportunity for families, children, corporate groups and pets to get photos taken with Santa at his workshop.
