Saks to Stay Open Fashionably Late

Calling all fashionistas and style mavens: Join your fellow Greenwich residents and shoppers across the globe in celebrating Fashion's Night Out. Saks Fifth Avenue will transform into the ultimate party filled with cocktails, dancing and, of course, great fashion.

The worldwide event kicks off at 6 tonight with free makeovers, fashion presentations, refreshments and live music provided by the '60s band Plan B. High school students from Greenwich and Rye, N.Y., will participate in a fashion show later in the evening, followed by presentations from Becker Salon and Equinox Fitness.[breakhere]

A number of other stores and restaurants on the Avenue will also host festivities. "It's an open house, so all the other stores will have live music, so we're expecting a large traffic of people coming in and out of all the participating stores and restaurants," said Geri Corrigan, director of marketing for Saks Fifth Avenue in Greenwich. "It's been a great experience coming up with ideas and working together with the other retailers on this event."

Shoppers can check out Theory, Terra, Sephora, Ralph Lauren Rugby, Morello, J. Crew, Lacoste and Brooks Brothers on Friday night.

Warren-Tricomi Salon will offer free skin consultations from SkinCeuticals and skin expert Terry Conrad. The salon's colorist, Cyd Koyanagi, will provide consultations on the best colors for fall. The salon's makeup gurus, Piret and Tamara, who are launching a new makeup collection at the event, will be available for free makeup applications with appointment. Jewelry designs by J. Baras can be checked out, too.

"We're looking forward to having people come out and just have a lot of fun, because our group here is always fun," said Cheryl Jordan, director of operations for Warren-Tricomi.

All are welcome to help put the fun back in shopping. Stores will stay open until 11 p.m.
