Ross Bambace Sr., 74, Ex-Greenwich Truck Driver

GREENWICH, Conn. – Ross Bambace Sr., a retired truck driver for the town of Greenwich, died Wednesday, May 9. He was 74. 

He was born Aug. 14, 1937, in Harrison, N.Y., to Ross and Rose DeRuvo Bambace. He was raised and educated in Port Chester, N.Y., where he most recently was a resident. Married to the late Sharon Zeh, Bambace was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church. 

He is survived by a daughter, Robin Allain, of Port Chester; two sons, Ross Bambace Jr., of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., and Dominick Bambace, of Delaware; three brothers, Robert Bambace, of Florida, Theodore Bambace, of Port Chester, and Richard Bambace, of Yonkers; a sister, Louise Valletta, of White Plains; and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Sharon, on June 15, 2002; a daughter, Diana Bambace; and two brothers, Donald and Frank Bambace. 

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at Craft Memorial Home in Port Chester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester. Burial will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye.
