Red Cross Classes Promote Safety

Medical emergencies can happen at anytime to anybody, and the Greenwich chapter of the American Red Cross wants to make sure you're prepared by offering first aid and CPR classes throughout October.

The classes will give you the confidence and the skills to handle any emergency. Classes include CPR/AED for adults, infants and children, or professional rescuer; standard first aid; child care; and babysitter's training for tweens and teens.

October health and safety classes include:

CPR/AED Adults

• Saturday, Oct. 16, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• Tuesday, Oct. 26, 6 to 10:30 p.m.

CPR/AED Infant and child

• Thursday, Oct. 28, 6 to 10:30 p.m.

Standard First Aid with Adult CPR/AED

• Saturday, Oct. 16, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Connecticut child care

• Wednesday, Oct. 20, and Thursday, Oct. 21, 6 to 10:30 p.m.

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer

• Thursday, Oct. 14, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; bring lunch

Babysitter's Training, for ages 11 to 15

• Saturday, Oct. 23, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; bring lunch

The Greenwich chapter of the American Red Cross provides relief to victims of emergencies and disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.
