Slated to address the group representing the interests of over 650 backcountry homeowners will be State Rep. Livvy Floren and Bonnie MacKay Caie, of Houlihan Lawrence Realty. Light refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m. before the meeting.

Key homeowner concerns that Floren will address will be the State of Connecticut fiscal responsibility with tax revenue and spending and the impacts on Greenwich; intrastate transportation to include possible toll roads; state education mandates and Greenway path along the Merritt Parkway, just to name a few. She has continuously represented District 149 (serving Greenwich and Stamford) since 2001.

Caie has been a Realtor in Greenwich for over 27 years. She grew up in town, coming from a family with roots in town dating to 1860. She says this is where her love of period homes and historic preservation started. She said Greenwich has lost over 300 historic homes in recent years. She will discuss real estate trends in town as well as the influencing factors that affect this market sector.

A question-and-answer period will follow each speaker’s remarks.
